Amazing recollection of events that happened quite a long time ago. Sara has a captivating writing style and being from South Africa, I enjoyed the book a lot.
It's a nice book, but there are similar adventures written in a more exciting style.
The title is a bit misleading as there is little written about the appointment in Zambia. An interesting overland adventure down through Africa. The display of their fortitude is well worth the read.
Really enjoyed this book.
Fantastic read and such an achievement to have made that journey from Edinburgh to Zambia, WOW! The attention to detail with the characters and culture that Sara and Ross encountered on their journey was fantastic. I felt like I was travelling with them every step of the way and couldn't put the book down. Highly recommended!
'Everyone should read this book!'. That was the agreement of our (rather critical) bookclub. We weren't sure what to expect, and we ere all thoroughly impressed; a brilliant insight into a most incredible journey. Don't let the 3 stars from the other review put you off. If you want a great read, a page turner, about a truly inspiring journey then I highly recommend this book!
