My dad helped pioneer satellite TV for the Apollo splash downs and was deployed several times on Navy carriers. We'd always be glued to NBC on the TV looking for the white General Electric Sat TV “bubble†on the deck of the aircraft carrier. My mom woke me up late one night in December 1969 to watch Neil Armstrong step on to the moon. Mom, I'm not sure I appreciated that at the time, but thanks. I have just finished reading "Starstruck"...WOW!!! Until reading this book I had no idea of the complexities of the universe! Dr. Bradstreet's book is not only astonishingly enlightening but it is also spiritually invigorating! His explanation of the stars and the life of stars has changed my mind regarding the age of the cosmos. As a Christian, I have always attributed the creation of the world on which we live and all that surrounds it, to the God who simply spoke it into existence! I can now no longer use the word "simply"! I stand in awe of the One who accomplished this wonderful act of love!
