This book really opened my eyes to the effects of having a Narcissistic parent. It is in plain language which would be relate-able to the average person.
I have read many of the books regarding Narcissism, I think this book and the other book from J.H. Simon, same author is the most helpful one, especially when you are in the trap, we need to get out of the way by something straight to the points rather than keep listening the similar stories from authors.
Wow now I know there are others out there that experienced the pain of growing up in a Narcissist family. It exactly described the roles each family member played. It was so apparent the roles each of us played. I hope this book helps others to save themselves.

Wry informative and educational
I literally just put the book down and had to write a positive review. I read the first book, "How to Kill a Narcissist," and immediately had to read this one. The writer is spot on, and opened my eyes to what's been going on my whole life. The first book focuses more on the narcissist, whereas this one focuses more on narcissim itself. It's perfect for anyone raised by narcissists that got into narcissistic relationships thereafter. I can already feel like I have the power to move forward and change positively.
I see so many of these books that are simply generic (and often wrong) "self-help" genre books. Some authors do have an academic background, but NO therapy practice or experience. And many don't even reflect much (if any) academic background.(Just WHO is the author?)Grasping if it is an actual therapeutical value (like CBT of SBFT or clinical hypnotherapy) or just psycho-babble is a large problem.Based on that alone, could NOT recommend.
